Kane's Unique "Golden Boot"
Kane's Unique "Golden Boot": No One Has Won the Award with Zero Trophies

Yet Harry boasts one of the best scoring records in history.

Kane was once recognized as the best trophyless scorer of the 21st century. As if there were other contenders. While stories and mocking memes continue to be made about the forward's lack of club titles, his personal achievements are surprisingly modest. No awards are given for 280 goals with Tottenham, of course.

Kane has a few successful top-scorer races in the Premier League and Champions League and on the international stage by age 31. Still, one would think the English forward had at least snagged a "Golden Boot" at some point — the one awarded to the top scorer across all national leagues under UEFA.

Turns out he hasn't. A Mandela effect, no less. Even Ciro Immobile, with his overperformance at Lazio, managed to win the scoring challenge. By the way, Kane matched the Italian's score for the Golden Boot — 36 goals in the Bundesliga naturally translated into 72 points. Only Luis Suarez (80) and Robert Lewandowski (82) have earned more. Of course, Cristiano and Leo are in a league of their own among mortals.

Kane had virtually no competition — no one from the top 5 leagues reached 40 goals. And this was in Germany, where there are 34 rounds, compared to 38 in England, Spain, and Italy. Harry's season was truly outstanding. At the award ceremony, he admitted that his move to Bayern was the right choice and owed his presence on stage to the club and his teammates.

However, Kane arrived in Munich at an unfortunate time — "FC Hollywood's" managerial chaos culminated in one of the strangest decisions in European football in recent years: appointing Kompany as the club's head coach. It’s like something out of "Fight Club": "We met at the strangest time in my life." And Kane’s victory is all the more remarkable — no one in modern history (since the introduction of the coefficients) has ever won the Golden Boot with zero titles.

Yet Bayern has started the new season well under the Belgian: they thrashed modest Ulm from the second Bundesliga (4:0) in the Cup and, in Bayer Leverkusen style, pulled off a win against Wolfsburg (3:2) in the first round of the league. So, who knows — maybe Munich will finally give Harry a trophy to celebrate.
