Henry Spoke About Griezmann's Struggles With the French National Team
The legendary French ex-striker Thierry Henry shared his thoughts on Antoine Griezmann.
The 33-year-old Atlético Madrid player, a long-time regular starter for the French national team, is no longer indispensable for Didier Deschamps. The coach of "Les Bleus" has been increasingly leaving the forward on the bench. Griezmann has not scored a single goal in his last 14 matches for the national team.
"Griezmann's achievements are beyond doubt. We all know what he has done for Atlético and the French national team. Since he was 19, he has played in almost every match, week after week. This is especially difficult considering Diego Simeone's demands. Griezmann was once the only forward. Then he played alongside Diego Costa on the right, on the left, again under the striker. This shows he is adaptable and can play anywhere. I still consider him an important player," Henry's words were quoted by Into the Calderon.
