Guardiola Explains Why Liverpool Dropped Out of the Title Race

Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola explained why Liverpool dropped out of the title race.

"I watched Liverpool's matches over the past few weeks. They couldn't compete with Arsenal, but do you know how they lost their chance to fight until the end? Look at the matches against Crystal Palace and Manchester United. They missed incredible opportunities; it was just unbelievable. Recall all the chances Liverpool had and missed. They didn't capitalize on them, so they left the race.

Can they be called losers? No. They are an incredible team competing with us for many years. Tell me, how many attacking players does Liverpool have? They didn't score a single goal and thus couldn't win. This can happen. The important thing is that Liverpool were winners because they fought for four trophies," Eurosport quoted the coach.
