Guardiola Explains Manchester City's Defeat in the FA Cup Final
Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola commented on the outcome of the FA Cup final match against Manchester United (1-2).
"First, I want to congratulate Manchester United. My game plan could have been better. We played much better in the second half and acted more intensely. The match was evenly balanced.
Credit should be given to United for their second goal and skill level. They did a great job finding open spaces and successfully transitioning from defense to attack.
We are disappointed, and that's natural when a team loses a final. But the season was outstanding. We fought well for all the trophies. Now we need to rest and come back," Sky Sports quoted the specialist.
