The head coach of the French national team, Didier Deschamps, is extremely unhappy that the 2030 World Cup will take place in six countries.
«I don't like the trend of organizing tournaments in multiple countries. There is a particularity in holding these three matches on the South American continent. This means South American teams will have an advantage, while others will have to travel back and forth... Who makes such decisions? Still, I won't hide from you that I prefer things that are more consistent on a sporting and ethical level,» Didier Deschamps was quoted as saying by RMC Sport.
Didier Deschamps has been in charge of the French national team since 2012. He won the 2018 World Cup and led "Les Bleus" to EURO 2016 and the 2022 World Cup finals.
