Cristiano Ronaldo Signs Record-Breaking Contract Extension with Al Nassr Until 2027

Cristiano Ronaldo has officially extended his contract with Al Nassr until June 2027, committing to stay with the Saudi club until the age of 42. The agreement, signed on June 26, 2025, adds two more years to his current deal and confirms Ronaldo’s long-term role as the face of Saudi Arabian football.

According to multiple reports, including Marca and Reuters, the financial terms remain staggering: Ronaldo will earn approximately €200 million per year, making him the highest-paid athlete in the world. His base salary is around €90 million annually, with the remaining amount derived from image rights, commercial deals, sponsorship activations, and bonuses tied to performance and visibility within Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative.

This breaks down to about €16–17 million per month, €3.8 million per week, and roughly €550,000 per day. The deal includes additional incentives for winning team trophies (Saudi Pro League, King’s Cup, AFC Champions League), individual awards (Top Scorer, MVP), and shares in revenue from new commercial partners attracted through Ronaldo’s presence.

Al Nassr is also covering expenses related to private security, chartered flights, and luxury accommodations for Ronaldo and his family in Riyadh — further underlining the club’s commitment to his comfort and prominence.

Speaking after the signing, Ronaldo shared his enthusiasm for the future:

“A new chapter begins. Same passion, same dream. Let’s make history
together. There’s no finish line for ambition. We must work with
focus, stability, and team spirit. I’m proud to be part of this
project. Al Nassr — forever.”

Despite rumors earlier this year that he might not renew his contract, Ronaldo has chosen to continue his journey in Saudi Arabia — not only as a footballer but also as a global icon shaping the country’s growing presence in world sports.
