Cristiano Ronaldo Finally Proposes to Georgina Rodríguez After Nine Years Together

Georgina Rodríguez has been waiting — and it finally happened. Cristiano Ronaldo has officially asked her to marry him, and the answer was, of course, a resounding “yes.” The Spanish model shared the news on her social media, posting a picture of her fresh manicure and the sparkling diamond ring on that finger with the caption: “Yes. In this and in every other life.” With a gem that size, you could probably take down a mammoth if you tried.

In truth, the signs had been there for a while — especially from Georgina herself. “My friends always joke about the wedding. Ever since Jennifer Lopez released the song ‘The Ring,’ they’ve been singing it to me. But it’s not up to me…” she admitted. Ronaldo, in turn, fueled the speculation: “I’m 1000% sure it will happen. In a year, six months, or a month — whenever that special moment comes.”

Naturally, sports fans and gossip lovers were left puzzled. If nine years of love, raising five children — two of them together — isn’t considered “the moment,” then perhaps Georgina was destined to wait forever. But earlier this August, the model posted a series of photos from what looked suspiciously like a wedding celebration.

A garden adorned with twinkling lights, a flower-covered table set with candles and romantic dinnerware, pillows embroidered with the couple’s initials connected by a heart… and the ring. Some internet users joked that thanks to Ronaldo’s record-breaking contract with Al Nassr, he finally managed to save up enough for a wedding.

Others, a week later, wondered if the couple was living in some kind of Christopher Nolan inverted universe — where the wedding comes before the engagement. Two theories emerged: either the ceremony had already taken place in secret, or it was just a rehearsal.

Either way — congratulations are in order! While our virtual greeting cards may never reach the happy couple, their fans and the media now have a brand-new story to obsess over for days to come. And really, it’s a fairytale worth telling — almost a Cinderella remake, when you remember that before meeting Cristiano, Georgina was just a regular sales assistant at a Gucci store.
