Chelsea Chooses New Manager. Contract Details Revealed

The search for a new manager for Chelsea has concluded. Enzo Maresca will become the manager of the London team in the next few days. The Italian coach has already reached an agreement on the contract.

Despite a very successful end to the Premier League season, more was needed for Mauricio Pochettino to remain Chelsea's coach. The management of the English club decided to part ways with the Argentine.

The search for a new coach lasted several days. According to insider Fabrizio Romano, the whole process is gradually ending. Enzo Maresca is expected to succeed Pochettino.

The Italian journalist reports that the current Leicester manager has already fully agreed on personal terms. The contract for the 44-year-old Italian is set until mid-2029.

The coach's contract will include an option to extend the cooperation for another 12 months. Chelsea's management must also transfer a sum to Leicester for Maresca's acquisition. However, how much the coach has been valued is still being determined.

Maresca has been in charge of Leicester since July 2023. Under his leadership, the team has played 53 matches, achieving 36 wins, four draws, and 13 losses.

Chelsea's players finished the Premier League season in sixth place, earning a spot in the Conference League.
