Cody Gakpo has only played a handful of games for his new club, so he could get away with breaking one of Jurgen Klopp's golden rules ahead of the Merseyside derby.

Sharp-eyed fans noticed how the Dutch midfielder, leaving the stadium, touched the famous sign "This is Anfield" above the doorway.

In the video, you can see how he is touched by those who lifted trophies in the composition of Liverpool: Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The newly arrived Gakpo has not yet earned such a privilege, but this ritual helped him score the first goal for the Merseysiders in that match.

Klopp revealed that in his early days as Liverpool's manager, he set this rule:

"I almost immediately told my players not to touch the "This is Anfield" sign until they won something. It's a sign of respect."
