Battle For Neighborhood With Messi: Homes Near Lionel Are Skyrocketing

The Astonishing Impact of Messi's Arrival

The transfer of the Argentine forward Lionel Messi to Inter Miami has become a gift not only for American fans but also for the new neighbors of the Argentine. The demand for housing near the star player has sharply increased, causing prices to surge by tens of millions of dollars.

Lionel and his family spent the first months after moving to the USA in a luxurious apartment valued at $9 million. However, they desired a bit more space, and in September, they also purchased a lavish house for approximately $10.75 million.

The footballer's new mansion boasts 10 bedrooms, a spa room, two boat docks, and a swimming pool. The property, covering 975 square meters, is in a gated residential complex in Bay Colony, one of the exclusive areas north of Fort Lauderdale.

Entrepreneur and writer Patrick Bet-David is fortunate enough to have Messi as a new neighbor.

"At this point, I've already made $25 million on my own home. Messi just moved nearby. Everyone wants to live in our community. It's a closed community on an island, accessible only by one way, very safe and secure. God willing, it stays that way. Now that Lionel is here, everyone is sailing their boats to see the houses. We have it all cool," Bet-David said in an interview with VladTV.

Messi's stunning house is near the beach, just a 15-minute drive from the Inter Miami stadium and training facility. Situated on the canals running through South Florida, the mansion also features nine bathrooms, an Italian kitchen, a fitness room, a balcony overlooking the Fort Lauderdale skyline, a theater, golf, and racing simulators, providing the family with excellent recreational opportunities.

Lionel's teammate, Sergio Busquets, also lives nearby. The midfielder recently paid around $9 million for a waterfront home in Si-Ranch-Lakes. Team Simpkin, a company founded in 2018, assists MLS players in buying homes.

According to reports, Messi has acquired two more new apartments in Sunny Isles Beach. Additionally, there is information that in 2019, he bought an apartment in the Porsche Design Tower in Miami. The 60-story skyscraper is between Bal Harbor and Aventura, a 25-minute drive from the Inter Miami stadium. The building features several lifts exclusively for residents' cars, allowing owners to park in exclusive apartments. Besides car lifts, the apartment includes a private restaurant and an open living room with a sea view.

Lionel's popularity in the USA is exceptionally high. After his move to MLS, the "Messi Effect" began, and recently, the American magazine Time recognized him as the Athlete of the Year. Inter Miami, which was last in MLS at the time of the forward's arrival, won the League Cup in the fall, and Lionel scored 10 goals in 7 matches in the tournament.
