Rúben Amorim
Amorim on His Condition After Two Months in Charge of Manchester United

Amorim stated that he feels 10 years older after two months at Manchester United.

Manchester United head coach Rúben Amorim admitted that after just two months at the English club, he already feels ten years older.
The Portuguese manager took charge of Manchester United in November. Under his leadership, the team has recorded eight wins, seven losses, and two draws. On Monday, January 27, Amorim celebrated his 40th birthday.

"I’m not 40… I’m 50. After two months at Manchester United, I already feel like I am 50. It is an honor for me to celebrate my 40th birthday here," the BBC quoted him as saying.

On Benching Marcus Rashford

Amorim also addressed why he decided not to field forward Marcus Rashford.

"The reason is always the same: it’s about training and how I believe a footballer should behave in life. Every detail matters. If the situation doesn’t change, I won’t change anything either. The same rules apply to every player. If someone does the right things, we can use them in the squad.

You can see that we are lacking pacey players on the bench. But I would rather include our 63-year-old goalkeeping coach, Jorge Vital, in the squad than a player who doesn’t give his all every single day," the coach added.

So far this season, Rashford has played 24 matches, scoring seven goals and providing three assists. His last appearance was on December 12.
