10 European Teams That will Compete in the 2025 Club World Cup in the USA have been Announced

Out of 12 possible European clubs, 10 have qualified for the Club World Cup, which will take place in the USA in 2025. The selected teams are Real Madrid, Manchester City, Chelsea, Benfica, Porto, Inter Milan, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and PSG. A total of 32 teams will participate in the tournament.

The Club World Cup will be held for the first time in a new format, with 32 teams from all six confederations participating: 12 clubs from Europe, six from South America, four each from Africa, Asia, and CONCACAF (North and Central America), and one from Oceania. Additionally, the host country will receive one spot.

Already qualified for the tournament from the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) are Real Madrid, Manchester City, Chelsea, Benfica, Porto, Inter Milan, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and PSG. It's worth noting that one of the Spanish teams, Barcelona or Atletico Madrid, will secure the 11th spot. The twelfth slot is reserved for the current UEFA Champions League winner.

Confirmed participants for the 2025 Club World Cup also include Al Hilal (Saudi Arabia), Al-Ahly (Egypt), Urawa Red Diamonds (Japan), Wydad Casablanca (Morocco), Leon, Monterrey (both from Mexico), Seattle (USA), Auckland (New Zealand), Palmeiras, Fluminense, Flamengo (all from Brazil).

The participants will be divided into eight groups of four teams, with the top two advancing to the Round of 16. The tournament will follow the same format as the 2022 FIFA World Cup and the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, except there will be no playoff for the third place.

The Club World Cup has been held since 2000. Currently, seven clubs participate, representing the strongest teams from the six continental confederations and a team from the host country. The latest Club World Cup in its current format is from December 12 to 22, 2023, in Saudi Arabia. Real Madrid has won the Club World Cup most frequently (four times).

The 2025 Club World Cup will occur in the USA from June 15 to July 13, 2025.
