Manchester City

City booked their place in the quarter finals by knocking 13-time champions Real Madrid out of the competition.
Guardiola's side finished second in the Premier League, 18 points astray of Liverpool. Domestically, City won the Carabao Cup in March with a 2-1 victory over Aston Villa, but were also knocked out of the FA Cup in the semi final stage to eventual winners Arsenal.
Benjamin Mendy was forced to miss City's home tie against Real Madrid but is now available after serving his suspension.

Lyon

Lyon only finished seventh in Ligue 1 as the season was cancelled following the suspension of all major sporting events in France during the early stages of lockdown.
Lyon travel to Portugal to face City off the back of an aggregate victory on away goals against Serie A champions Juventus.
Manchester City and Lyon have met just twice so far. Both matches were from the Champions League group stage in 2018 and the French sides managed to go unbeaten. They shocked City with a 1:2 victory at Etihad Stadium and then finished in 2:2 draw in France.

Predictions

Looking at the squads available to both sides, City should have too much quality for Lyon and will fancy themselves to book their place in the semi finals with a convincing victory.
