Eintracht Frankfurt

• Frankfurt actually own more victories in this competition than Dortmund do as they have won it four times to BVB's three. Dortmund have made more finals, however, than their counterparts.
• Eintracht Frankfurt have two draws and three losses in their last five matches in all competitions.
• Niko Kovac will be missing defensive midfielders Makoto Hasebe, Omar Mascarell, and Marc Stendera, right winger Marius Wolf, and striker Shani Tarashaj due to injuries. On-loan (from Manchester United) right back Guillermo Varela has been suspended by the club after picking up an infection from a tattoo.

Borussia Dortmund

• Borussia Dortmund have three wins and two draws in their last five matches in all competitions.  They won 2-3 at Bayern Munich in the semi-final before drawing 0-0 at home to Cologne.  They then won 2-1 at home against Hoffenheim before drawing 1-1 away to Augsburg.  Last weekend, they won a dramatic match on the final day at home against Werder Bremen 4-3.
• Thomas Tuchel will be missing left back Marcel Schmelzer and defensive midfielder Julian Weigl due to injuries.  Attacking midfielder Mario Gotze also remains sidelined due to illness.
• Aubameyang has been one of the most dangerous strikers in Europe for some time now with his mixture of pace and finishing acumen.  Don't be surprised to see him move on, but also don't be shocked to see him leave Dortmund the parting gift of goals.
