It wans't exactly Lampards decision to leave Chelsea. If you follow Bentiez's quotes, he says 'Lampard is sure to go' or something like that. Thats my point.

Sigh.... Let me clear it to those who do not follow Chelsea. Managers at Chelsea have NO decisions at Chelsea. Hence, Mourinho never wanting Shevchenko or Ancelotti never wanting Torres. The decision goes to our sporting director Michael Emenalo and Roman. Benitez has nothing to do with it, and he would actually like to keep Lampard.+

Add to that the fact that Lampard agreed to go down to 50k a week. He really wanted to stay.

Takes a real man to agree to have his wages cut down to a third of his original pay. F*kin Roman maaaaan. This guy pisses me off, despite all the quality players and trophies he's helped Chelsea earn with his money. And now Lampard too? I don't think we'll see another midfielder like him at Chelsea for a LONG time. Maybe not even in England. But who knows? If Jack Wilshere stays his whole career at Arsenal, then maybe England will have their Lampard again.
