I saw him screaming and his hands on his face i thought he was celebrating or something.. but then i saw City fans angry , security came and ferdinand was bleeding then i knew somebody threw something at him..

Looks like none of you have witnessed a heated match between rivals in Argentina. Cops have to make a wall with their shields when players take corners to protect them from objects being thrown. Go watch some footage from the fans reactions to River Plate being relegated.

@raimondo: Actually, I was at  at El Monument a few years back, watching River vs San Lorenzo. I was half-expecting to walk into a war-zone but it was very uneventful in the end. I was quite surprised at how civilized everyone was (a bit dissapointing, if I'm honest). Do you think it's b/c El Monumental is in a nice-sih part of BA? I heard shit kicks off at La Bombonera.

@footoholic Bombonera goes crazy at kick off. There is plenty of footage of it. Back when river got relegated in I think 2011 their fans destroyed parts of the stadium it was chaos. The players had to be escorted off quickly.

What the fan did was disgusting and I hope he gets banned for a long time watching matches in stadiums, but to celebrate right in from of City fans... Ferdinand was asking to be hit with something.
